2008. October 28.

Obligatory House/Cuddy anniversary post! Last year this day it finally happened. I love this scene so much, I love everything about it. The kiss, the angst, the shabby-looking (but still beautiful) Cuddy, the abrupt ending, the warm colours, the refenerce to Finding Judas, the fact that even after this this ship is still ~active~, every single thing.

Happy #housecuddyday everyone!

(P.S.: celebratory icon post is almost ready.)

This is one of those things I generally don't talk about, but this has been on my mind for a while and I need to write it down.

Vegetarianism bothers me. It bothers me because it's such a big deal, it's kind of fashionable, it's always being talked about and it sets a whole new ground for people to be judgemental about each other.

Let's take a look at the new Lisa Edelstein article that can be found here. This is what she says:

As a vegetarian, I can sit down at a table, not say word, and people eating meat will either apologize or get angry. Eat whatever you want!

It sounds very nice, doesn't it? And I agree - eat whatever you want! But can we please take a moment to consider why people either apologize or get angry? This is why:

So I survived the week. Thank you all for wishing me luck, my Portuguese test went better than expected. (But the others sucked.) I'm just glad to a whole week of peace. Starting with a nice house cleaning session tomorrow.

I almost forgot to watch my shows today. Which would have been a shame, because even Grey's Anatomy was unusually interesting this week, and The Office and 30 Rock cracked me up.

Which reminds me, I have a dilemma. I want to start watching another series but I cannot pick. I have three picked out and I'm equally interested in all of them but I can't start them all, cause that would be too much. So which one do you think I should start?

I have a new layout. Again. I know, I'm terrible. The thing is, when I'm stressed from university issues, I try to procrastinate calm myself with making a new layout; now next week is gonna suck big time, so you do the math... Plus, the other day I was rewatching this kiss scene and I got so nostalgic, I felt I needed this on a header asap (it was one year ago, guys. Do you remember how excited we all were at this time??) And I picked this CSS, which everyone uses, lol, I used it too about a year ago and that makes me nostalgic because I remember that this layout was up when I started making the moodthemes and asked your opinions about some stuff.

In the autumn break I need to organize this journal. I want a new title, have something in the profile page, reorganzie my icons (delete the ones I never use) and have a sticky post about my friending policy. I'm not writing all this down to bore you, but to collect a list of all the things I have to do. ;) And then, I need to actually update and read my friends page as often as possible.

By the way, I'm supposed to be on hiatus. After next week we have autumn break, meaning this week will be crazy with all the tests and assignments we got. I have to do a phonetic transcription of one page of Ivanhoe (a very short page, though, less than I expected), read a Brazilian novel, which I hate - no offense to anyone, but it's so much like reading a soap opera, it's painful - and it's a compulsory reading. I have a 90-minute Portuguese test coming up and while I'm quite good at the grammar part, I cannot memorize the words and expressions. In other words, I've got a lot of things to do, but if I went on hiatus, I wouldn't have a reason to take a break.

One of these days, I'll make an entry that is not about boring university stuff and my whining. Promise. This is not that day, though.

Four reasons why this morning sucks:
1. I woke up to the noise my mom made while getting ready, which rarely happens, but of course it had to happen when I I got to bed outrageously late and only slept about 4 hours. I have that lovely headache now you get from sleep deprivation.
2. It's apparently very cold outside and I haven't got a clue where my one pair of boots is. Had to throw out the others last year because they were all torn. Which means I have to go boots shopping anyway, but what will I wear that won't make me catch a cold.
3. It's raining and none of my shoes are water resistant or whatever it's called. Again, I need to go shopping to sort this out.
4. I have so much homework to do for today's class, and I should also keep reading Northanger Abbey, but I won't be able to finish it for tomorrow anyway...

In other news, my bicycle was stolen about a week ago from the garden shed thing. It's especially sad because, even though I haven't used it for quite a while, it was the first "big" thing that I bought from my saved pocket money quite a few years ago. And also the ony usable bicycle we had.

Uni is being a pain, next week I'll have four very hard tests and I should start preparing for those now but I just don't feel like it.

On a happier note, I'm enjoying the new season of House immensely. I haven't wrote any episode thoughts yet for Epic Fail and The Tyrant, but I loved both of them very much and I can't wait to see tonight's episode. :)
